Suspended Artworks
Shapes can be cut in the nylon and colours and patterns applied to create a
mobile artwork, using wire to introduce pivotal points and balances.  Inspired by Alexander Calder.  Key stages: KS3, KS4.  Duration: 1 day.

Window Ornament (click on image to enlarge).
Nylon is translucent like stained glass, but is very lightweight, by placing on a window in good light the colours are enhanced. 
Pattern can be created within one section or by relating different units to one another.  Key stages: upper KS2, KS3, KS4.  Duration: 1 day.

Nylon Jewellery
Create patterns using dyes to make simple bracelets and chokers. A resist dying technique can be used or painting/printing with dyes.  Key stages: KS3, KS4.  Duration: 1 day.
